为了感谢对目前视频游戏发展作出贡献的游戏开发人员，国外网站QJ评选出了十位我们有必要知道的游戏制作人。这些游戏名人开发出的游戏在游戏界震惊，但是他们本人确可能没有获得足够的认同。

John Carmack
作为id software的创始人之一以及领衔程序员，carmark的作品让人惊叹，你可能没听说过“1337”，但是Quake却无人不晓。那些同在开发3D游戏的开发人员会告诉你，仿效Carmack的编程技巧有多么困难。


Will Wright
在任天堂的wii没有出现之前，没有一款游戏能超越欧美玩家心目中《The Sims》（模拟人生）的地位，对于《模拟人生》系列游戏来说，男性玩家会玩，女性玩家会玩，乃至学生，小孩子也能找到适宜他们的版本。


Yu Suzuki（铃木裕）
如果有小玩家逃课去打零工挣钱，只是为了有足够的钱买一盘虚拟格斗游戏，那么不要责怪小玩家，都是Suzuki惹的祸。Suzuki是一个普通程序员的身份加入世嘉，并创造了首个虚拟3D格斗游戏。《Virtua Fighter》系列。

Richard Garriott
作为《魔兽世界》、《最终幻想 XI》、《Guild Wars》以及其他大型在线网游的玩家需要知道这位程序员，Richard Garriott。在线大型网游MMORPG的想法正是由他的《网络创世纪》开始的，可以说，他是今天的大型在线网游的真正创始人。


Shinji Mikami(三上真司)
《鬼泣》、《生化危机》，基本上这种以心理恐怖为主线的游戏都要与Shinji Mikami扯上关系。他负责的游戏总和恐怖事件分不了边，例如《恐龙危机》，甚至邪教喜欢的《上帝之手》等同类型作品。


Nobuo Uematsu(植松伸夫)
当谈到任天堂的游戏，相信所有人都会记得《超级马里奥》这个名字，这个游戏中最令人印象深刻的恐怕就是音乐部分。事实上Uematsu不是游戏开发人员， 而是音乐制作人。他自己拥有一支乐队，《最终幻想》的配乐就是由他的乐队所演绎。《最终幻想 VIII》的音乐甚至赢得了当年的日本金碟奖。这证明了电子游戏中的音乐也是值得赞许的。（实际上他本人长得有些像马里奥兄弟中的路奇，不知道原型是不是 基于他而来的）


Ken Kutaragi(久多良木)
“Playstation之父”这个名头可不容小瞧，很多玩家可能并不了解他的贡献，但是PS深入人心确实不容置疑的。在公司，Ken Kutaragi被誉为问题解答器及工程师的大脑。


Hironobu Sakaguchi(坂口博信)
众所周知，《最终幻想》之父。坂口博信最早曾开办自己的公司，但是最终经营不善破产。之后，他开发出了80万份销量的《最终幻想》。
几年之后，坂口博信的《最终幻想》系列托起了squaresoft，他作为执行副总裁还参与其他大作的开发，例如《寄生前夜》、《王国之心》。


Shigeru Miyamoto(宫本茂)
任天堂公司的台柱，不需要做太多的介绍。1983年游戏产业不济，但是《超级马里奥兄弟》以及《塞尔达传说》却能热卖。能把游戏人物塑造成经典的创奇人物。


Hideo Kojima(小岛秀夫)
小岛秀夫，他的游戏《MGS》中，Snake总要求被完成基本上不可能完成的任务，《MGS》电影场面与游戏相结合的元素，使玩家更觉得像是在看电影而不是在玩游戏。
